CodeWar Season-3

HITEC University is excited to announce the upcoming CodeWar Season-3, a prestigious coding competition that aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and friendly competition among the brightest minds in the field of computer science and engineering. In our commitment to providing a platform for students to showcase their coding prowess and problem-solving skills, we cordially invite all universities to participate in CodeWar Season 3. This event promises an enriching experience for students, offering them an opportunity to challenge themselves, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of coding.

CodeWar Season 3 is a one-day inter-university coding competition is being organized on May 08, 2024 that invites students to showcase their coding skills. The aim of CodeWar is to enhance and apprise the ability of students to think out of the box to solve programming problems and to present digital solutions in different domains of software skills. The students will register their team of two members that will be treated as a pair. C++, C#, Java or Python can be used to solve the given programming challenges. The solutions will be judged based on their completeness, correctness, and code quality.

Community Service

Recently, we conducted a training session approved by the Higher Education Commission, focusing on recognizing signs of drug abuse. The training session delved into crucial insights on identifying drug abuse symptoms. Led by psychologist Miss Hafsah Azad, faculty members from diverse departments at HITEC University participated, including Mechanical, Electrical, BioMedical, Computer, Software, and Civil Engineering, alongside Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Together, we aim to better identify and support those in need, contributing to a healthier and more supportive community.

Community Service

A lecture on community service was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. Students from Departments of Mechanical, Civil, and BioMedical Engineering, along with Management Sciences, Mathematics and Islamic Studies participated in this lecture given by Manager Admin in different sessions. This lecture highlighted the disaster management solutions, specifically related to fires and use of fire extinguishers in different scenarios. HITEC University focuses not only on teaching required skills, but also emphasizes on becoming good human beings and helpful hands for society.

Megabyte winner of NASCON

Team Megabyte made history as Pakistan's pioneering internationally recognized robot, showcasing its prowess at Fast University Islamabad's prestigious event, NASCON. Amidst a gathering of robots from across the nation, Team Megabyte proudly represented HITEC UNIVERSITY with their formidable duo: Megabyte 2.0 and Megabyte 3.0. Triumphantly, Megabyte 2.0 clinched the top honors in the ROBO WAR category, solidifying its reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Comprising six talented students from diverse engineering backgrounds including Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering departments, Team Megabyte exemplified the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines HITEC UNIVERSITY.

The participation of Team Megabyte in NASCON not only underscores the technological prowess of HITEC UNIVERSITY but also highlights the collaborative spirit and interdisciplinary approach fostered within its academic community. Tree Plantation Drive by Character Building Society

Character Building Society in collaboration with Punjab Forest department,taxila range, Rawalpindi South conducted a plantation drive. The Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamran Afaq inaugurated this drive by planting a tree. Faculty and students from different departments participated in this event. Planting trees helps to mitigate effects of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and producing oxygen, which helps to purify the air.

Alumni Homecoming HITEC University 2023

Alumni from diverse departments, including Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Civil Engineering, as well as Islamic Studies, Mathematics, and Management Sciences, came together for a heartwarming homecoming event. The occasion saw the active participation of graduates who reunited to reminisce about their shared experiences at the university. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kamran Afaq, in his address to the Alumni, emphasized the significance of fostering strong connections with graduates.
