The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at HITEC University, Taxila, successfully organized the HVACR Students Innovation Conference and Project Expo 2025, highlighting innovative solutions and fostering collaboration between academia and industry. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Liaqat Ali, Director ORIC.
Engr. Ramzan Sharif, President of the Pakistan HVACR Society, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Brig. (R) Imran, Director HITEWT; Prof. Dr. S. Kamran Afaq, Vice Chancellor HITEC University; and Prof. Dr. Junaid Ali Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, graced the event with their presence. Their participation reflected the universityโ€™s strong commitment to promoting research-driven innovation and academic excellence. Distinguished participants included Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Baloch, CEO Punjab Higher Education Commission; Prof. Dr. Adeel Akram, UET Taxila; Engr. Ijaz Bashir Janjua, from Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah; and Dr. Fahad, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Students from HITEC University, CUST, NUTECH, UET Taxila, and COMSATS University actively participated, showcasing innovative projects in energy efficiency, HVACR systems, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. The conference provided a vibrant platform for students to demonstrate their technical skills, exchange ideas, and interact with professionals from academia and industry.
The Chief Guest, Engr. Ramzan Sharif, commended the creativity and technical expertise of the students and appreciated the efforts of HITEC University and its Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) for organizing such an impactful event that promotes applied research, innovation, and industry academia linkages.
In recognition of contributions, Prof. Dr. Junaid Ali Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology presented shields to the distinguished guests. In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Liaqat Ali, Director ORIC, emphasized the significance of such initiatives in nurturing innovation, fostering collaboration, and preparing students to address future technological challenges.
