Megabyte winner of NASCON

Team Megabyte made history as Pakistan's pioneering internationally recognized robot, showcasing its prowess at Fast University Islamabad's prestigious event, NASCON. Amidst a gathering of robots from across the nation, Team Megabyte proudly represented HITEC UNIVERSITY with their formidable duo: Megabyte 2.0 and Megabyte 3.0. Triumphantly, Megabyte 2.0 clinched the top honors in the ROBO WAR category, solidifying its reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Comprising six talented students from diverse engineering backgrounds including Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering departments, Team Megabyte exemplified the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines HITEC UNIVERSITY.

Recreational Trip Electrical Engineering Department

Circuit breakers and snowflakes took center stage as final year students of electrical engineering embarked on a memorable trip organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. The unique excursion allowed these students to seamlessly transition from the complexities of circuits to the joy of snowball fights. The trip provided a refreshing break for the students, fostering a blend of academic and recreational experiences. Amidst the wintry landscape, the students witnessed the first snowfall of the season, creating cherished memories that are sure to last a lifetime.


The Directorate of Student Affairs orchestrated an opportunity for these budding electrical engineers to not only engage in academic pursuits but also to enjoy the beauty of the snowy outdoors. Visit of Electrical Engineering Students to Heavy Industries Taxila ARDIC

The industrial visit organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering at HITEC University, Taxila to the Advanced Research Development and Information Center (ARDIC) at Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) proved to be an invaluable learning experience for the first-year engineering students of the Session 2023. Throughout the day, students were immersed in a real-world environment where they could witness firsthand the application of theoretical concepts they had been learning in their classrooms. The visit provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the various sections within ARDIC, allowing them to grasp the intricacies of its functioning. Moreover, by interacting with professionals and observing the role of electrical engineers in the setup, students gained insights into the practical implications of their field of study, which can significantly influence their career decisions moving forward.


By facilitating this industrial visit, the Department of Electrical Engineering at HITEC University demonstrated its commitment to enhancing the educational experience of its students beyond traditional classroom settings.

NAVTTC Training Academy

An MoU has been signed between HITEC University Taxila and NAVTTC for smooth execution of the training on different topics including Artificial Intelligence (Robotics), Industrial Automation, Mobile Application Development, Game Development and Modelling, and Mechatronics (Robotics). In the first batch a total of 165 candidates completed their training. The graduation ceremony was held in Iqbal Auditorium, in which, Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamran Afaq, and Director QAC Professor Dr. Tahir Nadeem Malik addressed students and their parents, and highlighted the impact of these trainings in practical life.
