EMBS Inaugural Ceremony at HITEC University

The Biomedical Engineering Department at HITEC University proudly inaugurated its very own Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) chapter under the esteemed banner of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The inaugural ceremony marked a significant milestone in bridging the realms of engineering and medicine, fostering innovation, collaboration, and advancements in healthcare technology.


Distinguished faculty members, passionate students, and esteemed guests, including Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib, Head of the Department of SeecS at the National University of Science and Technology, convened to witness the formal inauguration of the EMBS chapter. Dr. Nosherwan’s presence added invaluable insights and inspiration to the event, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving transformative change.


The event served as a platform to celebrate the fusion of engineering expertise with medical knowledge, paving the way for interdisciplinary research and development. CodeWar Season-3

HITEC University is excited to announce the upcoming CodeWar Season-3, a prestigious coding competition that aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and friendly competition among the brightest minds in the field of computer science and engineering. In our commitment to providing a platform for students to showcase their coding prowess and problem-solving skills, we cordially invite all universities to participate in CodeWar Season 3. This event promises an enriching experience for students, offering them an opportunity to challenge themselves, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of coding.

CodeWar Season 3 is a one-day inter-university coding competition is being organized on May 08, 2024 that invites students to showcase their coding skills. The aim of CodeWar is to enhance and apprise the ability of students to think out of the box to solve programming problems and to present digital solutions in different domains of software skills. The students will register their team of two members that will be treated as a pair. C++, C#, Java or Python can be used to solve the given programming challenges. The solutions will be judged based on their completeness, correctness, and code quality.

We sincerely hope that you will join us in making CodeWar Season 2 a resounding success. Your university's participation will undoubtedly contribute to the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of this competition. Thank you for considering our invitation. Railway Hospital Visit

The Biomedical Engineering department of HITEC University recently embarked on an industrial tour at Pakistan Railway General Hospital in Rawalpindi. This tour served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain insights into the day-to-day operations of biomedical services across the hospital. During the visit, students were taught essential skills such as respecting patient privacy, conducting equipment checks, and effectively communicating with end-users to schedule planned preventive maintenance. They learned how to provide training and support to hospital staff, ensuring the smooth operation of biomedical equipment and services.

Industrial Visit to NICAT, for students of Computer Science Department

The industrial visit to NICAT (NASTP) on 2nd May 2024 provided an invaluable opportunity for students of Computer Science (8th Semester) to gain firsthand insights into the real-world implementation and functional opportunities within the IT sector and software houses. Under the supervision of faculty and the DSA Office, students were immersed in an environment where theoretical concepts were translated into practical applications. Through interactions with professionals at NICAT, students were able to grasp the intricate connection between academic knowledge and industrial demands. The visit not only broadened their understanding of the technical aspects but also highlighted the importance of adaptability and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of computer science and software engineering. During the visit, a talk was delivered by the IT Head and technical lead of NICAT, shedding light on emerging trends, cohorts, and entrepreneurial future ideas within the computer science domain. Another session on communication skills was also delivered by the communication expert to boost the soft skills of students. By delving into discussions surrounding entrepreneurship, students were encouraged to think beyond conventional boundaries and explore avenues for leveraging their technical expertise to drive meaningful change. Overall, the industrial visit to NICAT catalyzed students to align their academic pursuits with the dynamic requirements of the IT sector, empowering them to emerge as future leaders and innovators in the field.

Companies from diverse sectors will grace our campus, offering job and internship opportunities across all departments. Disaster Managament Solutions

A lecture on community service was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. Students from Departments of Mechanical, Civil, and BioMedical Engineering, along with Management Sciences, Mathematics and Islamic Studies participated in this lecture given by Manager Admin in different sessions. This lecture highlighted the disaster management solutions, specifically related to fires and use of fire extinguishers in different scenarios. HITEC University focuses not only on teaching required skills, but also emphasizes on becoming good human beings and helpful hands for society.

Empowering Tomorrow's Leader

Recently, a training session was conducted approved by the Higher Education Commission, focusing on recognizing signs of drug abuse. The training session delved into crucial insights on identifying drug abuse symptoms. Led by psychologist Miss Hafsah Azad, faculty members from diverse departments at HITEC University participated, including Mechanical, Electrical, BioMedical, Computer, Software, and Civil Engineering, alongside Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Together, we aim to better identify and support those in need, contributing to a healthier and more supportive community.
