EMBS Inaugural Ceremony at HITEC University

The Biomedical Engineering Department at HITEC University proudly inaugurated its very own Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) chapter under the esteemed banner of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The inaugural ceremony marked a significant milestone in bridging the realms of engineering and medicine, fostering innovation, collaboration, and advancements in healthcare technology.


Distinguished faculty members, passionate students, and esteemed guests, including Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib, Head of the Department of SeecS at the National University of Science and Technology, convened to witness the formal inauguration of the EMBS chapter. Dr. Nosherwan’s presence added invaluable insights and inspiration to the event, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving transformative change.


The event served as a platform to celebrate the fusion of engineering expertise with medical knowledge, paving the way for interdisciplinary research and development. Address of Vice Chancellor to Students of HITEC University

Our Vice Chancellor, alongside university management, addressed students with a historic announcement: the first-ever university-wide recruitment drive! Companies from diverse sectors will grace our campus, offering job and internship opportunities across all departments. Emphasizing the importance of alumni relations, our VC shed light on the workings of our placement office and highlighted various scholarship opportunities, with nearly Rs. 15 million awarded in Fall 2023. In a nod to student well-being, a full-time psychologist is now available to address student concerns. With an open-door policy across all offices, we're committed to nurturing a better learning environment. Your voices matter, and our VC ensured swift action on genuine complaints.

Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for Freshers

Celebrating Excellence at HITEC University! During the Fall 2023 admissions, we proudly announced scholarships for our top 250 position holders across various disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, BioMedical, Computer, Software, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Management Sciences, Accounting and Finance, Islamic Studies, and Mathematics.

The Award Distribution Ceremony, graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamran Afaq, marked a significant moment for these exceptional students. The top 250 not only secured their admission but also earned scholarships of up to 50% on tuition fees for the next four years, contingent on maintaining an outstanding GPA in each semester. Chairpersons of respective departments distributed certificates of appreciation Only in Fall 2023, HITEC University generously awarded scholarships totaling more than Rs. 1.4 crore, demonstrating our commitment to fostering academic excellence.

HITEC Alumni Association Oath Taking Ceremony

Amidst a rigorous electoral process, our newly elected seat bearers solemnly pledged their dedication in a ceremony graced by esteemed Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamran Afaq. Under the guidance of Muhammad Talha Asghar, Director of Student Affairs, the oath-taking ceremony set a resolute tone for the future. In the preceding month alone, the Association has catalyzed growth by providing 25 alumni with internship and job opportunities, epitomizing the profound impact of our vibrant community.

Department of mathematics had organized a Math Quiz Competition for intermediate students. The winner was given a prize money of RS.10000 and runner up was given RS. 5000. Harram Javed from HITC School Girls Campus won the competition and Talha Nawaz from Boys Campus was declared as runner up

Industrial Visit of Computer Science and Software Engineering Students to NICAT

The industrial visit to NICAT on 13th December 2023 provided an invaluable opportunity for students of Computer Science (8th Semester) and Software Engineering (7th Semester) to gain firsthand insights into the real-world implementation and functional opportunities within the IT sector and software houses. Under the supervision of faculty and the DSA Office, students were immersed in an environment where theoretical concepts were translated into practical applications. Through interactions with professionals at NICAT, students were able to grasp the intricate connection between academic knowledge and industrial demands. The visit not only broadened their understanding of the technical aspects but also highlighted the importance of adaptability and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of computer science and software engineering.

During the visit, a talk was delivered by the CEO and technical experts of NICAT, shedding light on emerging trends, cohorts, and entrepreneurial future ideas within the computer science and software engineering domain. This session provided students with valuable insights into the current industry landscape, enabling them to envision potential career paths and opportunities for innovation. By delving into discussions surrounding entrepreneurship, students were encouraged to think beyond conventional boundaries and explore avenues for leveraging their technical expertise to drive meaningful change. Student Body Announcements

HITEC University conducted interviews for the 2023-2024 academic year for its seven societies. The societies include adventure and social welfare, sports, character building, girls' empowerment, science, creative arts and dramatics, as well as literary and debating. The interviews were conducted by faculties of all departments, and the results were announced on the same day. This event was a memorable moment for the university, as it celebrated the extraordinary talents and contributions of its students and faculty members.

The interviews were conducted to select the most talented and deserving students for each society. The faculties of all departments were involved in the selection process, ensuring that the selection was fair and unbiased. The students were evaluated based on their skills, knowledge, and passion for the society they applied for. The selection process was rigorous, and only the best students were selected for each society.

The announcement of the results was a moment of joy and celebration for the university. The selected students were congratulated by the faculty members and their peers. 9th Open house / Job Fair

HITEC University has organized its 9th Open House and Job Fair on Thursday 13th of July 2023. Major General Shakir Ullah Khattak, HI (M), Chairman Board of Governors HITEC University was the Chief Guest. A total of 138 Final Year Design Projects (FYDPs) displayed in the event.

Mechanical Engineering Department showcased 44 projects in the autonomous fields of robotics, automotive, defense system, human aid system and solar technology. Electrical Engineering Department has a total of 37 projects designed on efficient integration of renewable generation in the power system. In electronics, projects were based primarily on IOT, AI and Fuzzy Logic.

Department of Computer Engineering displayed 9, and Computer Sciences displayed 38 projects with prime focus on robotics, machine, artificial intelligence, surveillance system and human aid systems. Civil Engineering Department displayed 10 projects focused on concrete for Nuclear power plants, soil stabilization and efficient transportation materials.

Around fifty different Professionals and representatives from industries participated in the event. More than fifteen companies took on-spot interviews and offered jobs/called for second interview. The Chief Guest appreciated the management of the university in organizing the excellent event and expressed his pleasure over the quality of the developed projects by the Final Year Students of HITEC University.
