Position Announcement

Search Committee, constituted by the Board of Governors, HITEC University Taxila, invites applications from accomplished, visionary, and highly motivated academic leaders for the challenging role of Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor will serve as the principal executive and academic officer of the University, responsible for promoting excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and publications, while ensuring efficient governance and administration.

Qualification

PhD in any discipline from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission or a UNESCO-listed institution.

Experience

Fifteen years post-Ph.D. experience in academic, research, or management positions in a teaching or research institute, a university recognized by HEC, or a reputed foreign university.

Research Publications

Fifteen research publications in journals recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Pakistan Engineering Council.

Age Limit

Applicants should not be more than 65 years of age on the closing date of submission of application.

Checklist for Documents

1. Certified Copies of HEC attested educational certificates / degrees/ diplomas.
2. Certified Post PhD experience letters clearly stating duration of position duly issued by the concerned Registrar / HR Office
3. Certified Teaching experience letters clearly stating duration of position duly issued by the concerned Registrar / HR Office
4. Certified Administrative experience clearly stating duration of position duly issued by the concerned HR Office
5. Certified Financial Management experience clearly stating duration of position and amount of budget handled duly issued by the concerned HR Office.
6. Certified Human Resource Management experience clearly stating duration of position and human resource/employees managed duly issued by the concerned HR Office.
7. List of HEC recognized research publications. Certified copies of first page and index of research journals.
8. List of research grants secured and projects won.
9. A detailed Curriculum Vitae clearly highlighting all elements of eligibility criteria and personal attributes.
10. Three recent passport size photographs.
11. Copy of CNIC
12. Affidavit stating that there is no case in court of law pending and the applicant is not involved in any inquiry or proceedings

a. The complete application must reach HITEC University Taxila before the close of office hours on November 14, 2025.

c. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
d. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
e. Shortlisted candidates must appear for interview in person (no video link interviews allowed).
