Inter Departmental Quiz Competition 2010

LAYOUT / FORMAT OF THE EVENT:

  • A team of three students from each department will participate in the quiz competition.
  • The competition will be comprised of three rounds.
    • Round : 01      Political Affairs
    • Round :02       Sports
    • Round :03       Science & New Discoveries
  • Preparation in the above mentioned fields should include events commencing from January 01, 2009 onwards.
  • Participants can prepare for the competition from the following sources

RULES & REGULATIONS

  • A team of three students from each department will participate in the quiz competition.

  • The competition will be comprised of three rounds.

    • Round : 01      Political Affairs
    • Round :02       Sports
    • Round :03       Science & New Discoveries
  • Three questions from each team will be asked in each round.
  • Each question consists of 10 marks.
  • Every question must be answered in a maximum of 15 seconds.
  • In Round: 01, any member of a team can answer a question.
  • In Round: 02, one question from each member of a team will be asked and only he will answer the question.
  • In Round: 03, the team who rings the buzzer first, shall answer the question.
  • In case of a wrong answer the question cannot be answered by another team.
  • Except Round: 02, members of a team can consult each-other before an answer.
  • In case of a tie between two teams, three more questions will be asked based on the rules of Round: 03.
  • The competition will be judged by a panel of judges.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
  • All the participants will be given certificates of participation.
  • University shields will only be given to the participants of a winner team.
  • A winner trophy i.e. 1st Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition Trophy 2010 will be given to the winner team.
  • The Winner-Trophy will stay for one year with the winning Department till the commencement of next Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition.
